Tuesday & Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Zoom
CAC staff teach multiligual students English skills and material on the U.S. citizenship exam. This class can be accessed through Zoom.
U.S. Citizenship Classes
Thursdays 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Community Instructor Erik Nevius and Buffalo State students provide instruction for recent immigrants and former refugees in preparation to take the U.S. naturalization test. These class sessions can be accessed through Zoom.
Part-time AmeriCorps ABLES
Engages Buffalo State students in 300 hours of service in CAC educational programs and leadership development to earn an education award. Students provide direct service to community students utilizing their unique skills and talents. To apply, click on this link.
Global Youth Leaders Program
September, 2022 - May, 2023
A program for multilingual students in grade 9-12 and local college students which builds leadership and civic engagement though a focus on social justice in the community. This program also focuses on college and career readiness skills.
Buffalo State S.T.E.A.M. Program
October, 2022 - May, 2023
An after-school program which engages local middle school students in grades 5-8 in a project-based, S.T.E.A.M. focused curriculum. The program will feature collaboration with several Buffalo State classes and faculty, will host guest experts in various S.T.E.A.M. fields, and provide field trips and exciting activities.
Buffalo Beginnings Bridge

This program is offered to families who have recently completed their resettlement period in the Buffalo community and includes family engagement activities, virtual home visits, through support from Mission Ignite and additional support from M&T Bank.
